Kate Spade New York Looks to Jaipur Rugs and E.J. Victor for Furnishings

Once upon a time, Kate Spade New York was content to sell status handbags to post-preppy women. Now fully realized as a lifestyle brand, from dresses to scented candles, the company has partnered with several manufacturers to launch its most comprehensive statement to date. Furnishings total 325 pieces for the whole home.

Seating and tables from E.J. Victor range from shapely, as in the rolled-edge Drake armchair, to sharp, such as the rosewood-topped Starburst side table. The Ampersand table’s top is a removable tray. A cocktail table with a brass-lined recess for entertaining, a tailored three-seat sofa, and a cream-colored desk bedecked in black circles all share the Downing name. Gold circles, meanwhile, enliven the matte black base of Pavillion Dot, among the ceramic table lamps from Visual Comfort & Co. There’s also two-tone Neale, which tapers up toward a retro drum shade. Rugs from Jaipur Rugs include two hand-tufted wool and silk patterns: Double Border, a classic geometric, and Find the Hidden Meaning, where words emerge from doodles.

Later this year, Kravet joins the fun with fabric and wallpaper.
