Emir of Kano Denies Malicious Lies that Said He Reused to Help #FreeEse

The story of 14-year-old Ese Oruru who was abducted by one Yinusa and taken to Kano, where he converted her to Islam and married her, and the travail of her parents over the past six months have caused an outrage on Nigeria social media and beyond.
Things were made worse when it was revealed that the Emir of Kano, along with these powerful Nigerians allegedly refused to help free Ese.

In a series of tweets though, the Emir of Kano has cleared his name, saying these are malicious lies. A twitter user drew former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili’s attention to the story and she revealed all the efforts the Emir of Kano made towards making sure Ese was freed right from August 2015.
